2007 Varsity Volleyball After graduating nine seniors last year, 2007 was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Immaculata varsity volleyball team. However, under the guidance of head coach Drew Lewandowski, the girls finished with an 11-2 record and won the state championship (NYSAIS) in November, in New York City. Led by seniors Melissa and Kaitlin, the Bears made it to their second consecutive state tournament (semi-finalist, ’06). With only two seniors on the roster, Melissa was able to step up and provide much needed leadership. Rounding out the starting roster were sophomores Jill, Megan, Alex, Sarah, and Megan. The freshman class was represented by Lindsay. Also contributing to the team’s success were juniors Laura, Charlene, Emily, Erin, Amber, Candice, and Brittany. Team Highlights 2004 2006 2007 |
