Meet Our Administrators

President   Principal   Asst. Principal
Sr. Paulette Tirone has spent 37 years in education, with 20 of those at Immaculata Academy. From 1978-1998, Sr. Paulette wore many hats at IA, including teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, and principal. She is also a member of the IA Board of Trustees, including serving on the Planning Committee, Institutional Advancement Committee and Executive Committee. She was elected General Councilor of the Franciscan Sister’s of St. Joseph (FSSJ) from 1986-1994 and served as General Minister from 1998-2006. Outside of her experience at Immaculata, Sr. Paulette enjoyed 11 years as an elementary school teacher and a period as Principal at Mother of Divine Grace School in Cheektowaga, NY.
Sister Paulette rejoined the Immaculata family in September 2009 as President, with the role of overseeing the Franciscan Mission, on behalf of the FSSJ’s. As a product of Catholic education herself, she realizes the value a Franciscan education has on young women.
“A Catholic, single-sex education allows these young women to realize their potential,” says Sister Paulette. “The integration of knowledge in areas of academics and spirituality allow young women to mature personally, developing leadership skills they’ll carry with them their entire lives.”
When asked what she likes most about Immaculata Academy, Jill Monaco simply said “The students!” – A sign of her caring and compassionate nature that has served the Immaculata Academy family as Assistant Principal for nine years now. Her 13 years in education has allowed Jill to work in an exciting and evolving atmosphere, learning new things daily from both faculty and students.
Before serving as assistant principal, Jill spent time as a teacher assistant and a teacher. She received her B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Oswego and M.S. in School Administration Supervision from Canisius College. Jill also has SAS Permanent Certification and will return to Canisius to earn her certification as a School District Leader.
Her goal for each and every student is that they leave Immaculata Academy with the confidence and knowledge they need to be successful in all areas of life. Jill helps see this mission through by constantly looking ahead, reaching above and beyond the standards, and working as a team with the highly-talented faculty and staff.
Jill loves spending time with her husband Carmen, and her two-year-old twin girls, Madison and Mikaela. She also enjoys playing volleyball, walking, camping, gardening and reading.
