Cross Country 2007 IA cross country is quickly making a name for itself in Western New York. After a winless 2006 campaign, the girls finished with an impressive 7-1 record in 2007, including a big win over rival Mt. Mercy Academy. Led by senior co-captains Kristin Miga and Kim Vetter, the girls finished second in their league, fourth at the All-Catholic meet, and eighth at NYSAISAA Championships. In their short history, the team has already appeared at the state championships twice. “States was a once in a lifetime experience,” said Miga. “Our team song, ‘Stronger’ (Kanye West), helped us stayed focused all season long - we ran harder, better, faster, and stronger.” Team Highlights 2005 Second place @ LeRoy Invitational 2007 Freshmen - First Place @ NYSAIS Championships 7-1 Overall Record
