Alumnae Spirit Award
Each year the Alumnae Association chooses one recipient worthy of the Alumnae Spirit Award. Alumnae are eligible to nominate a fellow alumna who embodies all that Immaculata Academy stands for and is representative of Immaculata's graduate profile:
An Immaculata Academy graduate is a responsible leader who:
- is prepared for college and committed to life-long learning
- is respectful, cooperative, and caring in her understanding of the rights of all
- demonstrates good moral character and integrity
- recognizes, values and generates quality work
- communicates effectively in a variety of ways to achieve understanding
- uses a variety of resources and strategies to find effective solutions
- brings a spirit of joy to her relationships, studies and work
- is spiritually prepared to meet the challenges of life
All alumnae are cordially invited to participate in the presentation of the Alumnae Spirit Award. The presentation and induction of the senior class into the Alumnae Association takes place as part of Ascension Thursday mass in the IA auditorium at 8:15 a.m. A continental breakfast reception (hosted by the IA junior class) follows the mass and ceremony.
This year's Alumnae Spirit Award is Mary Alice Regan McClusky, class of 1961.
Contact the Alumnae Office to RSVP or to nominate a deserving alumna.
Senior Spirit Award
The Alumnae Association Senior Spirit Award recognizes a student for her outstanding loyalty and dedication to the goals and objectives of Immaculata Academy. This student is also likely to continue her dedication as an alumna. The administration, faculty and staff of IA submit nominations for the Senior Spirit Award each spring.
Elizabeth Patrone, class of 2007, was awarded this year's Senior Spirit Award.
Susan Stoklosa Skobjak Memorial Scholarship
The Alumnae Association of Immaculata Academy presents an annual scholarship in memory of Susan Stoklosa Skobjak, class of 1959. The scholarship is made possible through the generous support of Susan's brother, Dennis, and his wife, Janet Speciale-Stoklosa.
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior based on Susan's strong beliefs and wishes to help young women achieve their college goals and dreams. The honoree has maintained a strong scholastic background through her years at IA, but did not receive substantial financial aid. The administration, faculty and staff of IA submit nominations for the scholarship each spring.
The 2007 Susan Stoklosa Skobjak Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Katelyn Chiodo.
