Fathers, daughters, grandfathers and friends all danced their way into each other’s hearts at Immaculata Academy’s final Father/Daughter Dance in April.
Each class is assigned a country and then the students research and prepare a display that includes: history, the flag, the culture and food of the country, and any STEAM related pioneers and/or problems which exist there.
It is with great difficulty and sadness that we announced on February 26, 2016 that Immaculata Academy will close at the end of the school year. The very real challenges of much smaller numbers of Sisters in the FSSJ and an ageing congregation revealed the need for the Sisters to conclude their sponsorship of IA. While this is truly a challenging time for the IA family, we take great pride in our current students and alumnae – knowing that they will continue to be instruments of positive change in our community. Prayers for our students, faculty, staff and their families are sincerely appreciated.
The varsity Bears are hoping to continue their winning ways as they head to NYC to compete in the NYSAIS basketball playoffs!
